Teaching is a profession that is full of surprises. As instructors, we know that the best way to prepare for the unexpected is to go in with as much knowledge as possible. It’s one of the reasons why you’re probably reading this now.

Ways to improve your teaching skills

There’s always room for improvement when it comes to teaching. Here are some quick tips to help you be the teacher you’ve always known you could be.

Developing your skills is a lifelong process. You can never stop learning about how to be a better educator. Even if you think you know everything there is to know about teaching, there is always something new that can be learned from your students or from other teachers. You may not even realise that there is still so much more to learn until you get feedback from a peer or a participant, and then it can hit you hard. Clawing back your confidence after a situation like this can be challenging. But the good news is that you are not alone! Everyone goes through this phase and has to work through it. The important thing is to keep going and keep learning and always have the mindset of a student.

Each class you teach is an opportunity to learn and improve. Every time we teach something new or bring our knowledge back into practice, we are gaining valuable insights on how best to prepare our students for success in the future.

As a group fitness instructor, I’m always looking for new ways to improve my skills. One of the best ways I’ve found is to attend conferences and workshops that focus on group fitness. I know that I am one of thousands of people in the same shoes who are looking for ways to improve our craft and help our participants achieve their goals.

Workshops and conferences are one of the best ways to learn from others who are experts in their field. Whether it’s an in-person or virtual event, this kind of educational experience can help you to avoid making common mistakes and can help you to be more effective and innovative in your work.

Attendees of my Group Move Group Fitness conference will get the opportunity to learn from the best instructors in the field. This event is for group fitness instructors regardless of teaching modality—freestyle or pre choreographed—and offers attendees the chance to network with other professionals as well.

Take a look at five reasons why you should consider attending my Group Move Group Fitness Conference:

• You’ll gain new strategies and methods that you can use right away.

• You’ll get direct feedback on how to improve your training skills.

• You’ll have access to industry leaders and mentors in the field.

• You’ll get ideas for creating new programs, activities, and content that will help keep your participants engaged and learning while they’re having fun.

• You’ll see what other professionals are doing in their practices that works well so that you can replicate them yourself!

If you are a fitness student like myself, Maria and I would love for you to join us at the My Group Fitness Conference on 15th May 2022.

Immerse yourself in a community that wants to lift their personal standards to help their participants achieve their desired health outcome.
