Layering is one of the most effective tools an instructor can use to modify, and intensify choreography. Marietta will demonstrate in a master class creative layering ideas to suit any class level. This will be a valuable opportunity for instructors to see how choreography can be effectively taught without interrupting class flow or intensity. A must for any instructor who struggles to get to “the end product”.

Aims and objectives

  • Explanation of what is layering is
  • Demonstrate how layering can be used to effectively change a basic move to increase intensity and complexity
  • 3 blocks of choreography that will demonstrate effective learning curves, with base moves
  • Use methods of layering, add on and link methods to achieve the final routine.
