Aqua Day Echuca – Live Workshop
Aqua Day Echuca – Live Workshop
This August, I’m bringing Aqua Day to Echuca (regional Victoria) for a half-day live workshop designed specifically for instructors who want practical ideas, meaningful learning, and strategies they can use straight away.
Whether you’ve been teaching for years or are still building confidence in front of your classes, this workshop will leave you with new tools, new perspectives, and renewed enthusiasm for what you do.
This is not a sit-and-watch event. You’ll move, learn, discuss, and experience the concepts for yourself in a supportive environment alongside other instructors who understand the unique challenges and rewards of teaching in the water.
Join us for a morning of learning, laughter, practical ideas, and connection.

Welcome with Impact: Engage, Connect, Inspire
Are your class introductions non-existent or boring your participants?
Those first few moments decide how the whole class flows. Done well, a strong introduction builds the know, like and trust that makes participants feel welcome and makes teaching more joyful for you. In this session you’ll discover how to transform your openings from mundane to motivating, so every participant feels excited from the very first moment, whether you teach high-intensity aqua or gentle moves.
What you’ll learn:
- How a dynamic start sets the tone for your entire class
- How to create an introduction anchors – vital for motivating your participants
- How to make everyone feel motivated, whatever their fitness level
- Leave ready to open every class with energy, warmth and impact.
Training the Brain in Water: Designing Aqua Classes for Cognitive Impact
What if every class you taught also sharpened your participants’ attention, memory and coordination?
This session shows you how to design aqua classes that challenge the brain as deliberately as the body, through movement design, dual tasking, coordination demands and decision making. Grounded in an ongoing collaboration with neuroscientist and concussion researcher Dr Alan Pearce, it translates brain-based training research into practical coaching you can use right away, layering cognitive challenge into familiar formats in a way that’s purposeful, progressive and immediately teachable.
What you’ll learn:
- What cognitive training means in a group aqua setting
- How the aquatic environment shapes sensory input and motor control
- How to design combinations that build coordination, reaction time and attention
- How to integrate cognitive layers into your existing class structures

“I found the practical sessions extremely useful to experience the true dynamics of a full class. I feel that I go too fast sometimes for my participants, but seeing how Marietta paced the class was great. Really makes you think and work hard.Â
Deep water with one dumbbell. A revelation. Ideas to do more deep water workouts were valuable.Â
I have used trios a little, but with the workshop will certainly use them some more.
The indoor sessions on ‘why’ we do these things were so informative.
The day just makes you want to get back to classes NOW.Â
Marietta makes you love aqua even more if that’s possible. Her energy and enthusiasm is contagious.”
Veronica McNamara – (after the 3 in 1 Day Live Brisbane Workshop)
“There are some people who change lives. Marietta is one of these people. Her energy and passion inspires others to reach their full potential, and she revels in the success of others. Marietta works tirelessly to help instructors achieve the highest possible standard of presenting.
Marietta’s days are filled with mentoring sessions and group fitness classes. These are her passions, and she is either meeting with people who have asked her for advice or taking group fitness classes that are renowned for their energy and innovation.
Marietta values and respects each person she mentors, and after our sessions, I always go home feeling inspired and confident that I will achieve my goals.
Marietta is one in a million. She took me under her wing, believed in me, and encouraged me to chase my dream of developing FAB freestyle. When talking with Marietta, I can’t help but be inspired. I go home wanting to be the best instructor I can be – I find I want to emulate her energy, her enthusiasm and her sheer joy of being a group fitness instructor”.
