Gymstick PT testimonial
"Just wanted to let you know I really got a lot out of your Gymstick for PT course. I have already been using the Gymstick with clients and they are all impressed with the workout intensity. It's also amazing to see squat and lunge technique improve just by using the stick..." Fran Furci

What drives you?
I recently had a non formal counselling session with a great friend and family member. It was an interesting talk because I guess I don't really analyse why do I what I do – in my personal life, in my career and for myself. What a great question to ponder on, because our reality is that we often get up in the morning and go about our everyday lives with some level of routine and occasionally we may try something different or are challenged to think differently. This chat challenged me to think differently. Ask yourself the following questions and you may find yourself challenging your own ideals, thoughts and beliefs. Maybe...it is time to do or try something different.
1. What is the first thought in the morning – is it about your family, your day, your life or just how to get to the bathroom in time?
2. Do you have a routine that must be completed otherwise the world just does not feel right?
3. When did you last judge something or someone because what they did was just not 'right'. Was it really because it was different from you think is 'right'
4. Do you make contracts with yourself (this is me), so that when you complete X, Y and Z, you can then receive a reward
5. Do you ever have that reward?
6. Are you a balance of activity and rest, function and fun, duty and whimsy
7. Is your life what you want it to be.
I am no 'big thinker', just a simple person who is searching, like the rest of us.

Testimonial of the Month - Lucy Martin
As a group fitness instructor with 20 years experience, I have seen the fitness industry evolve over the years. Some of the innovations in exercise equipment have not been so successful – promising instant fitness and weight loss benefits and only delivering injuries. When I first heard of Gymstick, my first reaction was, I will admit, a little sceptic. However, I decided to try it before I made up my mind so I booked into Marietta Mehanni's Gymstick Muscle workshop. From the onset I was very impressed. Marietta's knowledge of functional training and her ability to facilitate our learning was exceptional. However, the real surprise came when I first tried the Gymstick. Once I had set up the starting position for the first exercise, I could feel my abdominal muscles activate before I had even moved. The exercises were easy to set up and follow and very effective in activating multiple muscle groups and most importantly challenging enough for even the most trained athlete. I have a back injury and am pregnant so was very concerned about causing any damage, however I felt physically supported through every exercise. By the end of the day, I felt like I had challenged my body but had not compromised my health.
I realised that this small piece of equipment could revolutionise the fitness industry. Not only do we have a training tool that can be used at home safely by beginners or by physiotherapists in rehabilitation, we have a tool that can be used in gyms both in personal training and group fitness environments to challenge trained athletes. I highly recommend the Gymstick and the Gymstick Muscle program as a safe and challenging training tool. Thanks Marietta!
